God's Deliverance Through the Judges

REAL heroes are hard to find these days. Modern day media has made the weaknesses of our leaders very apparent; the world searches in vain for men and women to emulate. The music, movie, and sports industries of our day produce a steady stream of “stars” who shoot to the top and then quickly fade from view. Are there any true heroes of whom we can look up to anymore?
Judges is a book about real heroes – 12 men and women who delivered Israel from its oppressors. These judges were not perfect, but they were submissive to God, and God used them. It is also God's will to use us to his glory, if we would only allow him to do so. God's deliverance through the judges is a powerful demonstration of his love and mercy toward his people. Just as it is God's will today to deliverer us through His Son Jesus Christ.
Come and join us for VBS as we take a closer look at the variety of deliverers used by God to lead his people to freedom and true worship. Our focus will center on 6 of the 15 judges: Deborah, Gideon, Samson, Eli, Samuel, and Ehud. Learn how these men and women dealt with various situations and difficult circumstances as our very own members of the congregation act out their particular roles.
The singing together of Bible songs, watching our puppets perform on stage, and the viewing of our skits are just a few reasons to come and enjoy an evening full of learning about the Bible. Not to mention refreshments will be served each of the three nights as well. There is even an adult Bible class offered each night for our adults to attend and hear a lesson from God's Word. That's right, even adults can benefit from Vacation Bible School again. So come and visit with us, and see just how rewarding Vacation Bible School can be for you and your children.
